Case-oriented problems - the ventricular system

     

    It's easy to see landmarks associated with the pons, but the medulla is more difficult (which of the structures shown below marks the dividing line between the medulla and pons?)

    Use your atlas to find the hypoglossal ridge, sulcus limitans, vagal trigone and vestibular area.  You'll have to get up close to find them on your speciman!

Now, move on to the sagittal cut.
